Telemedicine

Is this secure and HIPAA Compliant?

Absolutely Yes . We only utilize video services that meet the “communications conduit” requirement in the HIPAA rules. We do not record or store ePHI that could be compromised.

What conditions can my provider treat via telemedicine?

Most minor medical conditions, including Allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cold & flu, diarrhea, infections, insect bites, pink eye, rashes, skin inflammations, sore throats, sprains & strains, urinary tract infections, lab reviews, urgent prescription refills and much more.

How can my provider treat me without a physical exam?

Your doctor actually doesn’t need to do a physical exam to diagnose and treat many conditions. That’s because knowing your medical history is considered “95% of the evaluation” when combined with the doctor/patient interaction. How you’re feeling can be just as important to your doctor as the results of a physical exam.

Can my provider prescribe medication?

Yes. If your provider decides you need treatment, he or she will send your prescription electronically to your pharmacy so it’s ready to pick up when you arrive. Please note that we do not prescribe controlled medications like narcotics, or sleeping medicine, etc over the telemedicine appointment. You will need to make an appointment with the physician to be evaluated prior to prescribing these medications.

Do you accept Insurance?

Medicare and Medicaid have approved the use of telemedicine for a limited time during the current COVID-19 outbreak(Deductibles and /or Coinsurance applies). Carefirst, Cigna, UnitedHealth, and Aetna patients can be seen with their usual office Co-pays. All other insurance and self-pay patients can be seen with a nominal fee of $150.
