Dr. Haizia Amsler, MD, is a board-certified internist who has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She earned her medical degree in 1991 at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Annaba, Algeria. Dr. Amsler went into the cardiovascular field after obtaining her degree as a cardiologist in 1995. After moving to the US in 2002, she did her residency in Internal medicine at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.
As a physician, she has learned to deal with all aspects of healthcare and focuses on prevention as well as taking care of chronic diseases. She sees patients as a whole, dealing with their physical ailments as well as their emotional being.
Dr. Amsler treats every patient like a member of her family; with respect and compassion. She listens and takes the time to understand patient concerns and unique situations. Medicine is a way of feeling useful, helping others, and creating links in her own community as a whole.
Dr. Amsler believes that being a physician is a privilege and a way of giving back.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking, gardening, spending time with her husband, and traveling the world in order to learn from other cultures.
