Asthma Care for Adults
Asthma is a chronic condition in which the airways narrow and become inflamed, causing wheezing, chest tightness, cough, and shortness of breath. Symptoms often worsen with triggers such as allergens, exercise, cold air, or respiratory infections.
Our approach includes confirming the diagnosis with in office spirometry, identifying your personal triggers, building a stepwise medication plan with the right controller and rescue inhalers, teaching correct inhaler technique, and providing a written asthma action plan so you know exactly what to do when symptoms change.
COPD Management
COPD, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a progressive lung condition most often related to smoking or long term exposure to lung irritants. Early diagnosis and consistent management make a measurable difference in how the disease progresses.
Our COPD care includes:
- Evaluation of symptoms, exposures, and breathing function
- Bronchodilator and inhaled therapy tailored to your disease stage
- Smoking cessation support, the single most effective intervention
- Vaccination against influenza and pneumonia to prevent dangerous flare ups
- Coordination with pulmonology when advanced care is needed
