Skin Rash & Eczema Treatment in Rockville, Gaithersburg & Columbia, MD

Most rashes can be diagnosed and treated in primary care, without the weeks long wait for a dermatology appointment. Our physicians evaluate new and chronic skin problems, start effective treatment, and refer to dermatology promptly when a lesion or condition needs specialist care.

Skin Conditions We Treat

  • Eczema (atopic dermatitis), including flare management and maintenance plans
  • Contact dermatitis and allergic skin reactions
  • Hives (urticaria) and drug related rashes
  • Fungal infections such as ringworm and athlete’s foot
  • Shingles, recognized and treated early when antivirals work best
  • Dry skin, itching, and rashes related to underlying conditions such as thyroid disease

When a Rash Needs Prompt Attention

Be seen promptly for a painful rash, a rash with fever, rapidly spreading redness, or a blistering band on one side of the body, which suggests shingles and is most treatable in the first seventy two hours. Any changing or suspicious mole gets a careful look and, when warranted, an expedited dermatology referral. Same week appointments are usually available.
